Cleansing foams are good for removing dirt and impurities from the skin however, not all products that are being endorsed by celebrities deliver on their promises. Ideally, a good cleansing foam will not only remove dirt and impurities, but it will help to refine the pores, nourish the skin, restore balance, and block out damaging stressors that may speed up the signs of aging. If a cleansing foam can brighten the skin, texturize it, help maintain moisture and remove make-up with little irritation, it is certainly doing its job. The Cleansing Foam by La Mer, is an available option that claims to purify and energize the skin.

La Mer, in their product literature says that The Cleansing Foam will help you achieve a brighter complexion. The product uses the brands’s signature ingredient known as The Miracle Broth™. The ingredients in the “broth”, although not immediately evident, are are supposedly immersed in moisture and energy to increase their concentration. The company includes sea algae fibers and white pearls in The Cleansing Foam. The foam is supposed to work on both oily and dry skin.

While some users have had success with The Cleansing Foam, others have reported minor issues with the smell and the fact that it does not provide exfoliating action. Apparently, a small portion of the Cleansing Foam will go away which may allow you to hold on to it for a longer time. This may be a positive when considering the simple formula’s current price point.

La Mer recommends applying the foam at least twice a day in a gentle, circular motion, working the foam up into a lather and then rinsing with warm water. This product does not contain any targeted anti-aging treatment so it would be beneficial to follow up with a nutrient-rich moisturizer and special serum to target troubled areas.

I love this cleanser. It is gentle and does not irritate my sensitive skin. It smells pleasant and rinses clean. My skin feels clean, soft and soothed. It does not cause my skin to redden or break out. This is my 4th tube and I will continue to buy it. My only complaint is the packaging. The tube is wide and stiff, preventing me from emptying it completely. I cut it open and was shocked to see how much product remained that I nearly threw away and probably did on my first 3 tubes. I scraped out the remains into a little jar to continue to use. There must be 6-10 face cleansings left! La Mer, please change your packaging to something that does not waste so much product. Even if you made the tube narrower like a toothpaste tube, I could use a toothpaste squeezer to flatten the tube and empty it. If the tube were made of softer, less stiff plastic, I could squeeze it empty. Such a waste of a good product.

The Cleansing Foam is great. The tube dispenser is awful, thus the 3 stars. I thought I would try it because my friend recommended it (I had been using the gel). Both of us are loyal La Mer users. I keep it in the shower and at first, when the tube was full, I had no difficulty squeezing a small portion on my finger to massage into my face. As the product reached the midpoint, it got harder and harder to dispense. The packaging is a nice thick soft plastic but you just cannot compress the last inch of the tube..the tube will not give…if you do have success fighting it, a huge portion of product comes flying out. I would prefer an unbreakable jar so that I can get to the last drop. The gel dispenser is much butter, but then it is a thinner product. La Mer products are great, I’ve used just about everything, but some of the dispensers are wanting. Product is too expensive to have to fight to get it out. I am now going to cut the tube in half and keep it in a ziplock bag until it is used up. Not exactly a nice look in shower or countertop for such an expensive product

I wanted to love this cleanser, but I didn’t. I didn’t find that it rinsed off easily and took quite a bit of product to totally get makeup off. Eventually it all gets clean, but takes more effort than I am accustomed.

I bought this cleanser one moth ago, and I wish my skin become more white after I use it. The result is good; it help my skin clean and comfortable. Because my skin is very sensitive, but I do not fell uncomfortable after use it for one moth. The only thing I want to mention is that it is a little dry after I use it. Overall it is a good cleanser.

I love this cleanser. It doesn’t dry my skin out and feels like it smooths my skin as it cleanses. Hate the tube it comes in. The product is thick so you have to really squeeze hard to get it out and sometimes too much squirts out. I would prefer it in a open top container similar to the one their moisturizer is in. I’m not sure what will happen once it has nearly all been used up. I’ll probably have to cut the tube in half to scoop it out which will look ugly on my countertop and shouldn’t be necessary at this price.
