La Prairie Skin Caviar Firming and Lifting Eye Serum

Lifting and firming the eyes can be frustrating when you spend money on products that don’t work. Regardless of the price point, the products that are most effective will contain ingredients that are formulated to target the delicate eye area and according to the Company does not cause irritation whilst delivering positive results. The La Prairie Skin Caviar Firming and Lifting Eye Serum sounds almost good enough to eat but, is it worth the wallet-irritating price of $325?

La Prairie claims that the Skin Caviar Luxe Eye Lift Cream is the one of the best firming and lifting treatment. This eye cream is specifically formulated to treat the area round the eyes, La Prairie promises “unparalleled” results according to their website. The La Prairie Skin Caviar Firming and Lifting Eye Serum is supposed to increase firmness and elasticity of the skin, provide 24-hour hydration, and mask the appearance of unsightly dark circles under the eye.

The company suggests that users applying the formula under the eye with your fingertips (we suggest only using the ring finger) and then extending it all the way to your hairline to treat wrinkles.  They claim the results will be “remarkable”.  La Prairie claims that this eye cream will target 7 areas of aging including: wrinkles, fine lines, dark circles, sagging, puffiness, loss of firmness, and of course drying. This eye cream formulation is supposed to lift and firm using caviar extract and La Prairie’s own Cellular Complex.

The Eye Lift Cream is full of Parabens but does include some very interesting ingredients such as Algae Extract, Sweet Almond Seed Extract along with Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein together with Hyaluronic Acid, both very popular and  effective ingredients found in many other top of the line  treatments. The formula also includes fragrance which can cause unwanted reactions for some people.

If you’ve got the dollars in your pocket, La Prairie’s exotic combination of anti-aging ingredients might be useful but if, like many your skin is sensitive, there are a number of ingredients that may intensify skin irritation.

    Good but not Great

Let me start off by saying that I tried this eye cream in the summer which is maybe the reason why I did not like it very much.

I am a HUGE fan of La Prairie. I have been using their products for a while now and am in LOVE with the quality. My go to eye cream which even after the first time that I used it made me go “WOW!” is the La Prairie Radiance Eye Cream.

However, since I use the Skin Caviar Serum, I wanted to try this cream as I had ordered it for my boyfriend: he has dry skin. I thought better value too as it has more product than the Radiance Eye Cream.

I have combination skin and put it on before I went to sleep. The next morning I didn’t really see a difference so I decided to wear it during the day as well.

As the day went on my eyes started feeling heavier and heavier thus I think that this cream is just not for me. Maybe I should give it a try in the winter when I need more moisture…not sure but for me it didn’t work one bit.

    Nice eye cream

Ok let me start by saying that I’ve only been using this product for about two weeks. I do like it so far and have noticed that the very tiny milia I had is starting to improve which is awesome. I did however only give it 4 stars because I feel like I was expecting it to remove the little bit of the dark discoloration under my eyes in the corners. My sales clerk said I wouldn’t need to use my Clinique “Even Better Eyes Dark Circle Corrector” if I’m using this. Maybe two weeks is too soon who knows…. I think I will still continue with the Clinique in the A.M. & continue this in the P.M. That will be better for results and $$.

    Good eye cream

Honestly, I would liked to purchase the platinum rare eye cream over this any day but the sales assistant insisted that caviare range was suited better to my age group.

It is very rich, moisturising and along with essence of eye caviare, makes the best eye care duo.

I have been using this for 3 months now and can honestly say it has significantly lightened my under eye circles. I will recommend this to anybody but I would praise platinum rare cream over it and that has become my holy grail now!
